Topic: Ethics in Government...What should the Standards Be?
Is it fair to hold our elected representatives up to a higher standard than we hold ourselves? If so, what should that standard be? Mark, Garland, and Terry will examine this question at Ben's Next Door this Tuesday at 7 pm as it applies to a host of current and past politicians, with ethical question raising from drug use, prostitution, gambling and adultery to misuse of public funds, bribery, corporate purchase of travel, allocating earmarks to those who contributed to your campaign, and lobbyists writing bills... How much does hypocrisy matter? And should there be the same standards for politicians we like and those we dislike?
